February 28th, 2011 Author: admin

We all know old Christmas songs, which sound in shopping malls, offices and restaurants each year at Christmas time. Some of them we like, so they assist us to create the Christmas mood even more festive. Others, however sound already irritating for us, and we ask ourselves “When there will be finally something new” This year the answer is “There are something really new in Christmas sounding”. There is xMmus, which will exceed our expectations for Christmas sounding. We can listen to Christmas music online too as per our convenience. Probably you wonder what xMmus is. Whether it is a new singer or song? Arguably,  xMmus is a new trend in making unique Christmas music. This innovation is created from a true Master of music. His name and age are not known for the time being. These are quite interesting issues, because the music of xMmus generally do not approximates to our known traditional musical styles. But our concept about Christmas music Accustomed in a way that we want to have it to be gentle, soothing and melodic. Music of xMmus could be described as an alternative or rather high-alternative. It is a blend of different sounds – playing, vociferation, crack with the fingers and any similar. So the sounds, merge with a well-known Christmas tune (for example “Silent Night, Holy Night”), but in unfamiliar arrangement. It may be obtained something unique. It is for sure not everybody would like it. Probably for old Christians it wouldn’t be acceptable. But for sure there will be people who would like this alternative Christmas music. XMmus has created so far two albums with Christmas songs. The first of them came out in 2009 and it is called “A Lo-Fi Christmas”, and the second has appeard recently, because of the coming Christmas holidays. Its name is “MIDI-free Christmas”. These two albums contain headings of known our Christmas songs. But behind the titles sound something quite unexpected.

Music teaching institutions offers

Music teaching tips should be accurate and precise at all times. No matter how great or little they can be, they should serve their purpose of helping the recipient get the improvement and growth they truly deserve. The earliest music was probably connected to religion according to historians. Long ago, people believed the world was controlled by a variety of gods. Keeping the gods happy was deemed very important to survival. Singing was among the first things humans did to show respect to their so-called gods. Singing is still an important part of most religions. Buddhists, Christians, and Jews all use chants and songs in their religious ceremonies. The Christian Bible instructs those who love God to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord…” and other religions provide similar instructions. If you have ever sung a song religious or otherwise you know that singing is fun. The feeling of joy that comes from singing must also have made ancient people feel happy. Singing was also done before with different activities. Another time people sang was when they worked. One of the best examples is the mining activity of Snow White’s seven dwarfs. Soldiers likewise sang as they marched into battle. Farmers sang one song as they planted and another when they harvested. Singing made the work less burdensome. People used the tunes to pace themselves. Sometimes, they followed instructions through songs. Music brings entertainment so as singing. Today’s singing compared to ancient times’ is more polished from an a cappella to a more different singing accompanied by musical instruments. With a tradition conventionally taught by the ancient people to many generations, music schools provide advanced teaching principles and learning techniques to aspirant musicians and singers. If before, it was purely imitating the ways of the elders; now, developing your own creative style through music teachers is highly recognized and appreciated.

Setting a good studio policy

December 29th, 2010 Author: admin

Music teachers must set good and strict business principles and classroom practices so as to eliminate confusion, inconsistency and misunderstanding among studio clients, students, parents as well as the entire teaching personnel. Certainly, as you decide to put up your own music studio, your studio policies and resources must also be ready for posting and dissemination. A studio policy is a set of written rules and regulations that has to be strictly observed and implemented. Private music studio owners as well as music teachers must specify and define all points and items in the studio policy itself so as to have everything clearly explained and discussed. Studio policy also lessens the risks and circumstances where a problem or a conflict may likely arise. Though some studio policies differ in concept and context, they must include citations on various areas like fees, payment schemes, work and class schedules, class requirements, lesson preparations, service arrangements and other relevant issues necessary in managing your own music studio. As studio policy is made as specific as music teaching resources are, tips on how to make and construct such are certainly essential. Setting a good studio policy is as good as generating music teaching resources. Since these two have to be both up-to-date, concise, concrete and complete, music teachers must keep in mind that rigid research really plays a vital role in coming up with effective and efficient resources and policies in music teaching. Such research can be done in just few clicks using the power of technology and innovation. Using informational documents and tools, citing insights and experiences, writing studio policy, motivating social and classroom participation as well as giving tips and advices are all great teaching techniques in driving your way to academic success through music education.Using informational documents and tools, citing insights and experiences, writing studio policy, motivating social and classroom participation as well as giving tips and advices are all great teaching techniques in driving your way to academic success through music education.

Effective music teachers resources

Primarily, a music teachers task lies in the idea of effective and creative communication. Thus, credibility and reliability have always been an issue to academic institutions, their teaching and non-teaching personnel and even the student body. Music teachers simultaneously motivate, inspire, and support their students through innovative music teachers resources. Whether these resources and tips are from the experiences of other teaching individuals, educators, academes or from the internet, what important is you are able to meet your goals and stay committed to your purpose. When you make use of effective music teachers resources and tips, you are more likely to gain the interests of your students  encouraging them to love music more. As you become good influences and examples to them, they not just tend to love music as one of their subjects but they also have come to love you as their mentors and icons. I have here a list of different feedbacks, compliments and even suggestions of the students when a group of music educators have rendered effective music teaching strategies and have executed creative activities. The students are able to cultivate their interest in music and realize their potentials through unique and creative activities regarding their music class and its programs. Such music teachers resources allow them to learn about other aspects of music which are not covered in a specific course outline, syllabus or private music lessons. Music teachers are able to encourage and give them such opportunity and exposure that they truly need to create and perform music creatively and independently yet effectively and promptly. Students are able to learn music as well as the significance of academic freedom and independence. Thus, cooperative learning has played a vital role in this manner since they are tasked to work collaboratively with their co-students and meet a common set of objectives. Creative activities, which seem unusual and innovative, have brought up fun and excitement among students  making them more interested, hooked and eager to learn new things and eventually apply them in real life.

Music for your ears

December 25th, 2010 Author: admin

It is ultimately derived from mousa, the Greek word for muse. In ancient Greece, the word mousike was used to mean any of the arts or sciences governed by the Muses. Later, in Rome, ars musica embraced poetry as well as instrument-oriented music. In the European Middle Ages, musica was part of the mathematical quadrivium: arithmetics, geometry, astronomy and musica. The concept of musica was split into three major kinds by the fifth century philosopher, Boethius: musica universalis, musica humana, and musica instrumentalis. The word music comes from the Greek mousikê (tekhnê) by way of the Latin created it in “measure, number and weight”. The proportions of the spheres of the planets and stars (which at the time were still thought to revolve around the earth) were perceived as a form of music, without necessarily implying that any sound would be heard music refers strictly to the mathematical proportions. From this concept later resulted the romantic idea of a music of the spheres. Musica humana, designated the proportions of the human body. These were thought to reflect the proportions of the Heavens and as such, to be an expression of God’s greatness. To Medieval thinking, all things were connected with each other a mode of thought that finds its traces today in the occult sciences or esoteric thought ranging from astrology to believing certain minerals have certain beneficiary effects. Musica instrumentalis, finally, was the lowliest of the three disciplines and referred to the manifestation of those same mathematical proportions in sound—be it sung or played on instruments. The polyphonic organization of different melodies to sound at the same time was still a relatively new invention then, and it is understandable that the mathematical or physical relationships in frequency that give rise to the musical intervals as we hear them, should be foremost among the preoccupations of Medieval musicians.
